The London School of Tennis is pleased to invite you to our first ever tennis holiday to the beautiful Caribbean island of Tobago

This package offers tennis players the chance to combine sporting activity with leisure, making it possibly the best holiday you will ever have!

Why Tobago?

This little island offers more than just sea and sand. It serenity and natural beauty make it and ideal location for relaxation in a completely stress free environment.

Players are free to tour the island after coaching sessions and will find that they are never short of sites to explore...from the historical Fort George to the stunning beauty of the coral reefs.

If not, you can spend the evening unwinding at the beach but either way the best of the island is yours to enjoy.

When? Where will I stay?

From Thursay 10th to Sunday 20th November 2005, for 10 nights 11 days, you will enjoy the warm tropical climate and the tranquil ambiance at the Crown Point Beach Hotel.

Ideally situated within walking distance of Crown Point International Airport (see map), this peaceful haven offers very comfortable accommodation and excellent service to all its guests. Crown Point beach Hotel lies within several acres of landscaped grounds overlooking the famous Store Bay beach.

From the grounds of the hotel, guests may bird watch, play tennis, table tennis or shuffleboard, swim in the pool or just enjoy a drink at the bar overlooking the vista of Store Bay and Pigeon Point. At the end of the day this lookout is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the breathtaking view of a Tobago sunset.

Tennis, other Sports and More

As tennis is our game, you will be able to play tennis all day long if you choose to. There will be 3 hours of tennis coaching each day, 1½ hours in the morning and another 1½ hours in the early evening.

We will be working on all shots as per usual, singles and doubles tactics and strategy, and also there will be video analysis sessions to aide our technique.

Other sports are available on the Island such as golf, scuba diving, cycling and non-motorized water sports. These are all easily accessible from the Crown Point Beach Hotel.

Island tours, visits to Argyll falls, the Tobago Rainforest, the Nylon Pool, Little Tobago (an absolute must for nature enthusiasts!) or Fort George can be arranged by the hotel or if you feel a little more adventurous you can hire a bicycle, car or jeep and go there yourself.

How much will it cost?

As each room has it’s own fully equipped kitchenette providing a choice of self-catering at £1099. There are shops and restaurants within walking distance and further a field for those who want to be a little more adventurous and explore the island further.

Scarborough, the capital of the island, is only a 15 minute drive away. Transportation is easy and accessible.

However, if you prefer a little more simplicity, at £1299 you can have a ‘half-board’ option, with superb breakfast and dinner provided at the “Best of Thymes” restaurant, situated in the hotel.

Their cuisine carries the distinct Caribbean flavour, using all natural herbs and spices grown in the region. At The Best of Thymes Restaurant one can find from traditional local fare to the more exotic dishes such as jerk chicken salad, grilled shrimp with papaya salsa, breaded flying fish and Tobago’s famous calalloo soup.

Also offered are a variety of vegetarian and kids meals with garden fresh salads, local fruit punches and mouth watering desserts. From their curried seafood combo and crab claws cooked to perfection in a coconut and lemon grass sauce, to the all time favourite – seafood platter – a combination of lobster, shrimp, fish and crab back – it’s a feast to die for.

Tennis Coaching

3 hours coaching each day. Players will be divided into two groups (where there are more than 8 players). There will be a morning session from 8:00 – 9:30am for the first group, and another 9:30 – 11:00 for the second group. The evening sessions will take place from 17:00 – 18:30 and 18:30 – 20.00.

Group times will alternate allowing 5 or 9 hours between coaching sessions. Video Analysis, individual appraisal and a fun tournament will be held on the final day.

Hotel & Flight

Prices include return scheduled flights from London Gatwick to Crown Point International Airport with British Airways, and all pre-payable UK Airport taxes (Caribbean taxes which are not included, are payable on departure $100TT ie £11 aprox).


All rooms face the ocean with either a balcony or patio. Each bedroom is air-conditioned, fitted with cable television, self-contained bathrooms and kitchenettes.

As we have limited places you need to book as soon as possible. There will only be 16 places available on this first trip with a minimum of 8 players required.

A non-refundable deposit of £100 per person is required by 25th August 2005.

Cheques can be made payable to ‘The London School of Tennis’. The remaining balance must be paid in full 8 weeks before departure that is by 29th September 2005.
